Spring is close and the GLP team is busy with preparations for coming soil dissipation trials. The trial area is ploughed, and a fine seedbed is prepared. Afterwards the soil surface is levelled by a garden drum in order to achieve a homogenous flat surface before application. Soil samples are taken in 20 cm sections down to 1 meter depth. The samples are further sectioned into 10 cm layers which are frozen and sent to a specialized lab for analysis. Samples are taken at 10 to 15 occasions up to 2 years after application. Through this the movement and degradation of the test product in the soil can be closely followed.
