<p><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 14pt;">Louise Lading brings 20 years of experience in the life sciences and plant protection industry from her time at Bayer, including 12 years in leadership roles. Her work has spanned both Nordic and international teams, giving her a strong understanding of the market and stakeholder landscape.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I am truly excited to start this new chapter and to work closely with Agrolab’s customers, colleagues and management team. <li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;"><em>Human Bias:</em> The choice of measurement locations can unintentionally skew results.</span><br><br></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;"><em>Labor-Intensive Process:</em> Manual measurements require significant time and effort, especially for large-scale trials.</span></li>

<p>Agrolab would like to take the opportunity update you on the drought situation in the EU Northern Zone; i.e. Scandinavia and the Baltic Countries.&nbsp;</p>



<p>As you are likely aware, we have been facing an extended period of drought in our region. The resulting water shortage has had an impact on crops.</p>



<p>However, our field stations in Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania and Denmark have received much needed precipitation during the end of June early July.</p>



<p>We value your partnership and encourage you to reach out to the Study Directors of your trials or Alex, Kenneth or myself with any questions or suggestions you may have regarding the state of your trials or crop conditions in general.</p>

<p>Spring is finally here! The air is warmer, the cranes are arriving, and the spring flowers are popping up! For the Agrolab team, other signs of spring are that Leif (with a small helper) is busy preparing the potato harvester and that Julia is in the field sowing.<br>The Agrolab team at Backgården is eager to get out into the field to start up all the new trials. What a fantastic season we have ahead of us!</p>

<p>The new season is starting soon with many different trial types to conduct for the Agrolab GLP team. In recent years Agrolab has conducted several DFR (Dislodged Foliar Residues) studies: A crop is sprayed with the product which should be tested, then leaves are sampled at several timings after application and residues are washed off with a special detergent using a shaker table. The DFR solution is afterwards frozen and sent to a specialized laboratory for analysis.</p>

<p>Agrolab A/S has successfully conducted an interesting trial concerning the regulation of moles in open grassland in Denmark. We were able to apply and trap moles in dedicated units to show product efficacy.</p>



<p>We could extend our expertise to the application and trial conduction of biocides in a field trial setup.</p>

<p>Agrolab is happy to announce that Rūta Žitkutė will be taking over as Station Manager at Agrolab’s field station in Mažeikiai, Lithuania. Rūta has been with Agrolab since 2019 serving in several different roles. She started her journey as field assistant to complete internship mandatory to all Agronomy students in Vytautas Magnus university Agriculture academy. Now she is seeking her Master ‘s degree in Ecology and preserves her journey in Agrolab with new challenges.</p>

<p>In <strong>Latvia </strong>the autumn has started with windy weather making spray days scarce. Other task are less influence by weather and potato harvest was on top of the list.</p>



<p>The Latvian field team finalized harvest of SOLTU on the 12<sup>th</sup> of September and grading just a week later.</p>



<p>It was nice and sunny weather when SOLTU were picked up and we are happy to have such excellent agreements with our cooperating farmer, who this year offered us to borrow his tractor and SOLTU lifter. Afterwards we even can use his grading machine. Good collaboration and fast work achieved the the Latvian field team.</p>

<p>In <strong>Denmar</strong>k the field season 2021/2022 is slowly coming to an end with harvest of the last trials in maize and potato.</p>



<p>At the same time the start of the new field season 2022/2023 is in full swing, trials are set up and sowing of new crops is almost finished. Autumn sprayings are applied in herbicide trials.</p>



<p>Agrolab Denmark is looking forward to a new and interesting season.</p>
